Field groups engineers by the branch of engineering where they did their central work. Wikipedia describes Nikola Tesla as "a Serbian-American engineer, futurist, and inventor" known chiefly for "the design of the modern alternating current (AC) electricity supply system," squarely within electrical engineering. This dimension gathers engineers who worked mainly in the same field.
