Agricultural Machinery Inventors

Inventors and manufacturers who built the machines of modern farming, among them the mechanical reaper that cut grain, the steel plow that opened heavy prairie soil, the threshing machine that separated grain from the husk, the crawler tractor that carried heavy loads over soft ground and the grain elevator that moved harvests into storage. A person belongs here when the cited article credits the person with a farm machine or a machine for handling grain. It excludes plant breeders and agronomists whose work was crops rather than machinery.
