All Airbreathing Jet Engines Without Turbines

Jet engines that burn fuel in air taken in during flight but do not rely on a spinning turbine, including the pulsejet, which burns fuel in repeated pulses, the ramjet, which depends on forward speed to compress the air, and the scramjet, whose combustion happens in supersonic airflow. An invention belongs here when the cited article describes it as an airbreathing jet engine of one of these kinds. It excludes the gas turbine engines used by airliners.
