Paper and Pulp Manufacturing Processes

Processes that turn plant fibre into paper and board, covering the separation of fibres into pulp by mechanical or chemical means, the forming of a wet fibre mat on a screen, and the pressing, drying and finishing that make sheets and rolls. An invention belongs here when the cited article describes it as a way of making pulp, paper or paper-like sheet. General fibre and textile processes belong with textile engineering, and printing methods that use paper belong with the lithography and photographic chemistry groups of the field.
