The KosherSwitch, also called the Kosher Switch or Shabbos switch, is a wall switch marketed to observant Jewish households and institutions as a way to control electricity on demand during Shabbat and Jewish holidays in a manner some Orthodox authorities accept as permissible, though other authorities reject it. It is manufactured by KosherSwitch Technologies, headquartered in New York City, and was invented by Andy Menashe Kalati.
