Recording And Data Storage

This group gathers electrical engineering inventions built to capture and store a visual, audio or data recording for later playback, including the camcorder, digital camera, compact disc, DVD, Blu-ray disc, cassette tape and magnetic tape. Their shared work is preserving a recording on a physical or digital medium for later retrieval, as distinct from the communication devices that transmit a signal live and the circuit components that make up their internal electronics.
