Marc A. Chavannes of Brooklyn, New York was an inventor who patented a method for making laminated cushioning material, granted in 1964. His patent concerns joining plastic and other sheet materials into layers without adhesives, fusing the sheets into one unit with a permanent airtight bond between the layers.
