Origin Era

Origin era places a material in the period when it was actually first developed. Wikipedia records that "while seeking a corrosion-resistant alloy for gun barrels in 1913, Harry Brearley of the Brown-Firth research laboratory in Sheffield, England, discovered and subsequently industrialized" what became known as stainless steel. Browsing by origin era shows how old a material a visitor sees every day really is.
