All Mining Engineers

Engineers who planned and ran mines, from deep gold mines to open pit copper operations, and who built the methods of working large ore bodies at a profit. Their craft covers shafts, drilling, ore processing and the management of mining companies, and several of them built careers that reached well beyond mining itself. A person belongs here when the cited article calls the person a mining engineer or credits the person with a new way of working a mine. It excludes oil and gas drillers, who belong with the petroleum engineers.
