The Joint European Torus, known as JET, was a magnetically confined plasma physics experiment at the Culham Centre for Fusion Energy in Oxfordshire, United Kingdom. Built on a tokamak design, it was a joint European project aimed at opening the way to future nuclear fusion energy, and at the time of its design it was larger than any comparable machine.
