NavIC, officially the Indian Regional Navigation Satellite System (IRNSS), is an autonomous regional satellite navigation system built by India to provide real time positioning, velocity and timing services. It covers India and a region extending about 1500 kilometers beyond its borders, with plans to extend coverage further, delivering position accuracy in the range of 10 to 20 meters and timing accuracy of about 40 nanoseconds within its primary service area.
