The Quasi-Zenith Satellite System, also known as Michibiki, is a Japanese regional satellite navigation and augmentation system developed to enhance the Global Positioning System operated by the United States across the Asia-Oceania region, with a particular focus on Japan. Four satellite service began on a trial basis in January 2018 and officially started that November, and the constellation has since been expanded, with an eleven satellite system announced in 2023.
