The Hydro-Quebec electricity transmission system is an international electric power transmission network centered in Quebec, Canada. It pioneered the use of very high voltage 735 kilovolt alternating current power lines, which link the population centers of Montreal and Quebec City to distant hydroelectric generating stations such as the Daniel-Johnson Dam, the James Bay Project in northwestern Quebec, and the Churchill Falls Generating Station in Labrador.
