Yoge Patel is a British engineer and expert in autonomy and autonomous systems who founded Blue Bear Group and stepped down as its chief executive in February 2025. She studied electronics and systems engineering at Loughborough University and took a doctorate in flight control engineering at New York University. She began her career in the defence industry at the Defense and Research Agency and then QinetiQ, before joining the start-up Blue Bear Research Systems, which became a pioneer of the British drone industry for civil and military uses. The company led consortia on automated regional transport aircraft networks and on electric aircraft propulsion, and she has served on the UK Government's expert advisory panel for the CAVPASS programme on automated vehicles. In 2022 she was elected a fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering.
