The P&P Office Waste Paper Processor is a recycling device that turns discarded office paper into usable pencils by rolling and compressing the paper around a pencil lead core with adhesive. It was created by four Chinese engineers, Chengzhu Ruan, Yuanyuan Liu, Xinwei Yuan and Chao Chen, and gained recognition around 2011 to 2013; the technology publication HowStuffWorks described its appearance as resembling a three-hole punch crossed with an electric pencil sharpener. The device addresses office paper waste by converting it directly into a usable writing implement, an example of circular-economy thinking applied to an everyday office setting.
