The Shabbos App was a proposed Android application intended to let Orthodox Jews and other Sabbath observant Jews use a smartphone during the Sabbath, announced for release in late 2014. From the time it was announced, many observers argued the project was in fact an elaborate hoax or prank rather than a genuine planned product.
