Nanotechnology

Engineers whose defining technological contribution operates at the nanometer scale: nanoscale materials, nanoscale fabrication and manipulation techniques, and devices whose function depends on structure at that scale rather than on bulk material properties. Belongs here: engineers credited with a specific nanoscale fabrication method or nanomaterial rather than a conventional-scale device that merely uses a nanomaterial as one component. Does not belong here: the bulk-scale materials science that Materials Engineering already covers, or a finished consumer device that happens to contain a nanoscale component but whose engineering contribution is at the device level.
