Electrical Engineering

Engineered systems whose defining function depends on generating, transmitting or applying electricity: power grids and generation systems, communication networks, and complete electrical or electronic systems built to a specific function. Belongs here: a named power system, communication network or comparable electrical system considered as a whole engineered system. Does not belong here: the raw electronic materials a system is built from, grouped under Materials Engineering, or a mechanical structure that merely houses electrical equipment without the electrical function itself being the system defining feature.
