KEKB was a Japanese particle accelerator located at the KEK laboratory in Tsukuba, Ibaraki Prefecture, used to power the Belle experiment studying CP violation in b quark hadrons. It was superseded by its luminosity upgraded successor, SuperKEKB, which now supplies particle beams to the follow on Belle II experiment.
